First, let me tell you that I was born a cake-eater (those of you in Minnesota know what I'm talking about). So, when it comes to sweet bakery goods, I'm an expert ;)
Normally, I prefer cake made from scratch. However, little guy wanted to bake, so we made cupcakes FROM A BOX yesterday. They were amazing! I was so suprised by the quality that I sent an email to the company. If you're in the not-from-scratch cupcake making mood, try Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Golden cake mix. OMG were they good. Of course, I always make my own frosting. There's no decent substitution for that!
