Yikes! Has it been 6 days?

Hello! Sorry I haven't posted anything lately. Time has gotten away from me. My week wasn't terribly different from normal, so I don't know why I didn't get online.

I played my first tennis match of the season last night. My partner and I won, but my team lost. I was quite nervous going into the match, because, as I mentioned earlier, I had not played since early November (and that had just been a drill). I have to say that I was glad that I took the time to use the ball machine last weekend. It helped. My serve was inconsistent, but when it was on, it was on. My net game was still pretty good, but my ground strokes stunk. My partner wanted me to play forhand (normally I play backhand), so I was a little out of my element. But, everything worked out fine.

After the match my team went out for Mexican food. I was starving! Our match began at 6:30, and we were asked to come early to cheer on our teammates playing first. I got there when I was told, but didn't play until 7:45! I stupidly didn't eat before the match (it was my day to carpool for swimming, so I wan't home until 5:45). Luckily, I brought a granola bar (Sweet&Salty Peanut - yum). I was pratically shaking by the end of the second game and started taking bites of it whenever we switched sides.

My cleaning lady came this morning (Saturday). I found out about this after my match last night. At our house getting ready for the cleaning lady is a HUGE chore. Our house just gets so dirty, so fast. It's insane. Thank goodness my hubby was in a straightening mood and got just about everything ready for her while I was enjoying myself last night. Since I brought my daughter to swimming this morning, I didn't get to find out why our Monday cleanings have now turned into weekend ones. I don't like this new arrangement at all. On the bright side, I have a clean house to enjoy for the weekend.

Not a lot going on this weekend. We're either having homemade pizza or clam linguine for supper tonight. I'm craving the pasta, but have an inkling that I'll be voted down. We also just got a new Wii game in the mail from Gamefly called "Mama Cook Off." I guess its an Iron Chef-type game. I'm hoping my son will take a break from Cabelas Big Game Hunting, to let me try it. Otherwise, I'll be whooping it up after he goes to bed.
